Geopolitix is a free daily country-ranking game: five countries, one stat, get the order right. Every day you play five rounds; in each one you drag five countries into the right order for a single theme, from GDP, population and land area to alcohol, tea, working hours, Olympic medals, average height and trust in others, over 20 real-world stats in rotation.
You score up to 1000 points a day (30 per exact placement, 10 per near miss, 50 per perfect round) and share a colour-coded grid of your result. One puzzle per day, the same five-country line-ups for everyone, so scores are comparable with friends.
Geopolitix is a free daily country-ranking game. Each day you play five rounds; in each, you drag five countries into the correct order for one theme, such as GDP, population, land area, life expectancy, rainfall, alcohol, tea, working hours, Olympic medals, average height or trust in others.
Each correctly placed country scores 30 points, a near miss (one spot off) scores 10, and every all-green round adds a 50-point bonus, for a maximum of 1000 points a day. Green means the exact right place, orange means one position off, red means further away. Ties break on total time.
Rounds draw from over 20 real-world stats: population, GDP, GDP per capita, land area, life expectancy, average temperature, annual rainfall, forest cover, Olympic and Paralympic medals, average height, alcohol, tobacco, daily calories, working hours, beef and chicken eaten, tea drunk, divorce rate, depression, trust in others and the age people leave home. Yes. Geopolitix is completely free, with no account, no sign-up and no download. It runs in any web browser on phone, tablet or desktop, and can be installed as an app (PWA).
A new puzzle is published every day at midnight in your local timezone. Everyone playing the same calendar day gets the same country line-ups, so scores are shareable and comparable.
Geopolitix is fully playable in English, French, Spanish and German. The interface follows your browser language and can be forced with the lang query parameter, for example ?lang=fr.
Every round cites its source: the World Bank for GDP, population, life expectancy, rainfall and forest cover; Our World in Data for alcohol, calories, working hours, meat, height, divorce and trust; the WHO for depression and tobacco; and Wikipedia for the Olympic and Paralympic medal tables and tea consumption. The reveal links straight to the source.
